The Salvation Army Colorado Springs

The Salvation Army’s R.J. Montgomery Shelter is the city’s longest running emergency shelter and provides hot meals daily to the homeless The emergency shelter also houses children and is the cities only shelter for homeless families. Every night in Colorado Springs, up to 220 people stay in shelter programs owned and operated by The Salvation Army.

What we need most

The greatest need for foods at the homeless shelter are protein sources, primarily meat. In addition, potatoes, rice, beans (any variety), vegetables (both fresh and frozen), and fresh fruit are needed on a regular basis.
