For minor burns after immersing it in running cold water for 5 minutes, gently stroke on neat lavender oil. Pain relief is almost immediate, and burn usually heals without scarring.
For headache, apply a few drops to the forehead, or massage a few drops onto the forehead, temples, and nape of the neck.
In a number of small studies, sleep has been improved by placing a few drops of lavender oil dropped on the pillow. To help induce sleep, put 3 or 4 drops of lavender oil on a bed pillow.
