This may sound a bit odd, but can attest to just how strong and durable this product is. I have 3 seventeen year old pet snapping turtles which weigh between 58 and 72 pounds each. They like to walk around the house, individually, on the floor. Unfortunately, we have rugs, instead of tiles. Snapping turtles can be a bit, well, destructive, messy and smelly at their finest moments. I don't like to scrub the rugs. Last year, I purchased one of these underpads. They were advertised as being thick, large and durable. FANTASTIC PRODUCT! Just one of these underpads has survived the razor sharp toenails / claws of the turtles, the pooping and pee-ing, ... everything destructive that each of the turtles could batter it with and survived with flying colors! It's been over a year now, and time for a replacement. Not that it needs one but I wish to give our washer a break! If this product can withstand the abuse that I gave it, think about how satisfied you will be with your gentler needs.
